Balancing Ministry Vs Industry (Business)
The ministries of the Gospel is multifaceted and a few that readily comes to mind are Pastoring, Evangelizing through Musicals (singers and instrumentalist), Drama/Acting, Writing; others are Teaching, Encouraging (Counseling), Helping, Leading and others alike.
Everyone has a gift, some have been able to come to limelight with their gifts while others are yet. The difference is the ability to develop the
gifts and a willingness to offer the gift first, for free.
Christ understood the business of His earthly Ministry had different departments amongst the 12 who were following Him. Some handled welfare, finances and treasury while there were administrative scribes who documented the happenings of the Ministry. We can safely say that Lord Jesus understood the business of His ministry.
Balancing Ministry and Industry is the ability of a gifted Gospel minister to harness and harmonize the business elements for success in ministry.
The Church is a ministry that if not run as business entity would fail to achieve kingdom goals.
The parable of the talents sums it all up - those who are profitable gets commended and more is given to them from those who are unprofitable.
