The "New" New Testament Church

Image
The "New" New Testament Church Who would have believed that the world with all its technological advancement and human capacity would run to hide behind closed doors to preserve humanity from the novel Corona Virus disease - Covid-19, which broke out in November, 2019?  Covid-19, a disease which has no respect for persons, race, age, social status, or religious beliefs, forced governments to close all borders with no entry or exit except for essential needs.  Since the world took cover by staying safe at home, no one could go to Church, not even the Pastors. The Church resorted to reaching out to her members via the internet using the various social media platforms available. And this has been the "New" New Testament Church since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now that the Church in most nations are getting set to reopen for congregational worship, the Lagos state government in Nigeria has given a nod to allow the Churches in the metropolis to also resume on...

Build Your Brand in 3 Days

Image
In June, 2020..... The idea of "Partners Connect" was conceived after I concluded a week online training on "building your message" on credit. (I couldn't pay as at the time of training). My Coaching 👨🏽‍🏫 skill caught a new kind of fire 🔥 (Passion) and I immediately launched out. That is one of the best decision I took in this year of the "lockdown". Partners Connect - a 3-day intensive training to help individuals with business ideas build their brands to attract paying customers. The first class of 8 was filled with 80% students who have been home and looking for means to start a business or work on an existing business idea. (They were all admitted on scholarship into the training with a commitment to start something immediately after the training). The second class started few weeks later with entrepreneurs who could afford to pay just 2k and a student (still free) Already, the feedback from participants has been so exciting. It is giving me so...

Covid-19: Perspective, Introspective and Retrospective

T he lockdown was announced officially after about a month of the index Covid-19 case in Nigeria. Movement was restricted to the compound we live with family members as your only companion. We stocked the house with food and other daily essentials. The airspace and land space were declared closed; nobody comes in nobody goes out! The world was sort of in a hanging limbo. Like most people all over the world, our glue to our phones was a major means to get a piece of the latest update on the global pandemic, it's spread and containment measures. Many issues rented the air, from further fears of the spread of the disease to apprehension of possible hunger in the lockdown and the fact that a few majority have this disbelief about the whole pandemic. The pandemic brought with it, unusual words that became usual and we had to grapple with understanding and accepting them. Words like quarantine, isolation, asymptomatic, maintaining social (maybe physical) distance with loved and unloved o...
